The Farm Shop was set up over forty years ago to sell produce from the farm. To provide more to our local community and to champion other local producers, the range has increased over the years. 90% of what we produce is sold directly through our shop, and 40% of our shop sales are from our produce.
Raw milk (our speciality), raw cream, raw kefir, raw cheeses, a range of yoghurts and yoghurt drinks. The fruit used in our fruit yoghurts is all either our own or local biodynamic or organic. Elderflowers and blackberries are gathered on the farm.
All year round, a wide range of seasonal vegetables and salad crops from our poly tunnels and fields. In the summer months the garden supplies a range of soft fruit to both the shop and the dairy for the fruit yoghurts.
Our own and local beef, lamb and pork (all either biodynamic or organic). We also sell organic chicken.
Eggs delivered daily to the shop, sheep fleeces, sheepskins and knitting wool from our own flock.
Produce from local growers
We also sell as much local biodynamic and organic produce as we can get our hands on (we are extremely fortunate to be surrounded by some amazing growers). What we can’t source locally we buy from our organic wholesaler.
bakery
We are supplied with some amazing freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries from several local bakers, all using organic ingredients, mostly sourdoughs.
Plaw Hatch Pantry
In addition, we stock biodynamic and organic wines and beers, soft drinks, local cheeses, dried goods, local chocolate and many amazing raw honeys including local sustainably produced honey, which is available in season, and much more…
Coffee Barn
On Tuesday to Saturday excellent barista coffee is available from Nik in the coffee barn. The coffee is served from Nik’s horsebox and the barn has sheepskins, blankets, hot water bottles and a heater to keep you warm in the winter months. Cakes made by Nik’s partner, Kate, are available and are legendary (made in their kitchen across the road). Croissants and other snacks can be purchased in the shop and eaten in the coffee barn with your coffee.
