Goede dag (Dutch for 'Good day'),

Hi, I'm Emma, and I’ve been asked to give a short introduction about myself, but I am sure you will get to know me better over the next few years.

A little bit about me: I come from the Netherlands, where I was working co-managing the garden on a biodynamic farm called Novalishoeve, on the island of Texel. I studied at the Warmonderhof, a college for biodynamic farmers and gardeners (also where our arable farmer, Maya, studied.) I completed the 4 year course and then stayed on to work, helping run the garden there and mentoring the students.

I recently joined the team here at Plaw Hatch, where I will be co-managing the garden together with Liz. I am really excited to join the team and community here at the farm. I’ve just completed my first week working in the garden; we’ve been making our sowing plan for the coming year. It’s already been a great start and I’m looking forward to the growing season ahead!
